Keeper at Whipsnade. In 1945 it was reported that he died of dysentery in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp sometime in 1943. He was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery, Bedfordshire Yeomanry (service number: 922398). He died in Myanmar and is buried in Thanbyuzayat Cemetery
