Dear Sir
I am desired by my Committee to write and ask you for information on the following points:-
- Is it a fact that Snakes in the Zool. Gardens at New York are not and never have been fed on live animals?
- Are the Snakes at the Zoo in London fed on live animals, and if so on what kind of animals
- If they are not so fed, what is the nature of the food given them?
- What is your opinion as to food for Snakes. Is it necessary to feed them on living animals, or are all requirements met by feeding them on animals newly killed?
Any information you can give as to these points will be useful to us here and if you can let us have your replies to the above questions we shall be very greatly obliged
Yours faithfully
J. Lang
