Your Royal Highness

I beg to enclose you a note from Mr. Lee
The great sale of furs from Hudson's Bay Company will shortly take place and both Mr Lee and myself fancy that Your Royal Highness and perhaps also the Princess would like to examine these furs so I make bold to let you know that the sale will soon come on. I am much pleased to hear that you and the Princess approved of the young fish. The eggs that we took have now got young fish in them. A great triumph

Your Royal Highness

I have been working away at the Fox and now send report. What I should like best would be for Morris to come up here any morning next week. As I find the skin etc. is not in a fit state to travel. If Morris will come please let me know and I will be ready for him. I should much like a consultation with him.

Your Royal Highness

According to your kind permit I have described the big Deer Horns in Land & Water to-day. I have sent them to Mr [Rulich?] Upper George St, Bryanstone Square and told him to take them to you with the Stags foot in the case. [Rulich?] wants to know if the shall mount the Windsor Great Park Horns for you and if so whether on a plain stand or upon another head with skin etc. Will you kindly give him your orders about bringing down the foot and the horns. I am away all next week on inspection duty

Yours obliged

Your Royal Highness

I am anxious about the Deer Horns you so kindly allowed me to describe. Shall I send them at once to you at Windsor or should I send them to [Rulich?] to be mounted. He might then bring them down with the Stags foot, would you like them mounted on a stuffed head or on a bit of board.
I enclose your article by General Walker of Berlin

Your Royal Highness

I am afraid I shall not be able to meet you at the Zoological tomorrow morning as I must go to Brighton to help them on to get the Aquarium opened on the 27th. When at the Duke of Northumberland's fishing trap on the [?] last Tuesday I [saw?] the fish you have received swimming about alive and I asked the conservators to send him to you. I am glad you got him all right. At page 8 of the report sent herewith you will see what is going on in the [?] whence came your trout. If you see the Duke of Northumberland please talk to him about it.

Your Royal Highness

I have this moment received the enclosed from my friend Mr Walker the Photographer. I thought you would like to see them kindly return them to me. H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh most kindly came to the Fish Museum with the Duchess. I am Tremendously pleased, particularly as he brought H.R.H. the Duchess. I wrote the 'Wild Animal Market' in to-day's paper to amuse H.R.H. That vulgar article in to-day's L & W about the Scorpion [fight?] was put in by the [?] editor quite against my wishes
