The Northern Aviary at London Zoo, widely known as the Snowdon Aviary, was built between 1962-1964 and opened in 1965. Lord Snowdon was the designer of the Aviary.

Three scrapbooks of newspaper cuttings: 1) Cairo to the Cape (about the flight taken by Peter Chalmers Mitchell), also Mount Everest expedition. 2) Cuttings about British Museum (Natural History) where Joan Procter volunteered. Includes letter from E G Boulenger to Joan Procter. 3) Joan Procter's appointment as Curator of Reptiles at London Zoo (1923). Includes photos and letters. 

Plans for the modification of an enclosure to be filmed in a scene in the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone .

Mr Gray engages to publish forthwith in London periodical the novelties (by Feby). Also to prepare in 3 months a corrected Catalogue of the whole to be distributed with the specimens and to be sent to me as well as copy of the above by overland to care of Sec. As. Soc. Bengal
3-4 To consult and arrange for the publication if possible be as soon as may be of a book of illustration from the drawings and of text from the skins and my notes [?] Gray wants List of works wherein I have published copies if may be [sent] and [?] depend on receiving a regular [set?] o9f the notes that they may [?] arranged here [?] the required additions

Memos of Mr. Hodgson's Zoology

The species are:- Mammals of Nepal 126 - Mammals of Tibet 47 - Birds of Nepal 656

The Collections consist of Drawings of skins and of skeletons
The Drawings amount to 108 plates of anatomical delineations and 814 of ordinary fig. of Beast and Bird, the skins now brought to England and delivered to Brit. Mus. consist 402 Mammals and 4444 Birds
The osseous specimens delivered with them amount to 1069
Besides the above wh[ich] have been just now handed over by me to
the Museum, a large collection of specimens and drawings was made
over in Jany 1843 by my father, whereof I find Memo as follows:-
