Zoo Enterprises Limited was established to undertake business enterprises and trades of all kinds and in particular, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, to carry on the business of booksellers, publishes, vendors and distributors of periodicals, journals, magazines, confectionary, ice-cream, toys and toilet preparations, advertising and publicity agents and contractors and dealers in paper, cardboard, greeting cards, postcards, photographs, painting and pictures, drawing, writing and photographic materials, sculptures and artefacts of all kinds, promoters, organisers and sponsors of exhibitions, concerts, fairs, attractions, recreations, competitions, stage shows, displays and other events; and to exploit, whether as principal or as agent, any trademarks, patents and rights of a similar nature and generally to turn to account any property either of the company or of any other person or body of persons
ZSL's status as a charity restricts the activities which it can undertake in order to raise money. Zoo Restaurants Limited was a company owned by ZSL. Evening functions and sales of alcoholic drinks at any time were undertaken by Zoo Restaurants Limited. The company paid a concession fee to the Society based on a percentage of turnover. Tax was payable on profits, but was reclaimed by ZSL (as a charity)
King Khalid Wildlife Research Center is a biological research facility and a wildlife observatory located at the King Khalid Royal Reserve (formerly al-Thumamah Wildlife Park) in the al-Thumamah area of northeastern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was established for the preservation and captive breeding of the country's endangered wildlife in 1987 during the reign of King Fahd and was managed by the Zoological Society of London under the supervision of the Saudi Wildlife Authority (now the National Center of Wildlife) before the former completely handed over administrative duties to the latter in 2016

It is the third oldest zoo in the world. Lahore Zoo has its beginnings in a small aviary donated by Lala Mela Ram in 1872 to the Lahore Municipal Corporation. Over time the animal collection increased and the zoo expanded. It later began to take interest in conservation, education and research in addition to providing recreational facilities to the public
Hlawga Park is an open zoo in Myanmar's Yangon Region. It was created to protect evergreen, mixed deciduous and swamp forest and for environmental education. Located in Mingaladon Township, it is jointly managed by the Nature and Wildlife Conservation Division and private enterprises.
