Hampton Wildman Parker was an English zoologist. Parker was Keeper of Zoology at the Natural History Museum from 1947 to 1957. He was the author of several on snakes and frogs. Charles Robert Senhouse Pitman was a herpetologist and conservationist. From 1925 to 1951 he was Game Warden of the Uganda Protectorate. He was active with conservation and preservation groups such as the Elsa Foundation, the Fauna Preservation Society and the Rare Breeds Survival Trust
